Haiku – The Dreamer (Repost)

One day at a time

Until we finally meet

Whoever you are…

I have really been enjoying creating images to go with my posts! Turning into a nice cohesive collection.
A small Pinterest board is in the works, and hopefully a refresh on my page. I will post the link once there is a bit of progress.

More to come! 🙂

Haiku – Lackadaisy

Listless as a cloud

Being dragged across the sky

Disintegrating….

The Pond

The tale is yet to unfold

No stir beneath, not breeze above

The water’s glassy surface.

Morning secrets begin to rise as cold white whispers

In the silence of the breaking day,

Evaporating in the warm forgiveness of the golden sun.

Petal

She made herself smaller and smaller,

Until she fit into the palm of your hand.

Jaded, she would lie there,

Delicate

Shivering

Praying for you to become the home that would shield her

From all of the other sharp edges of the world.

Zanzibar

Worlds away from home

To meet the stranger within.

Seeking connection.

The heat engulfs her,

Sedating her anxious mind

Blissful lethargy.

Seen by the ocean

Her breathing finds it’s tides

Peaceful ebb and flow.

Whole in this moment.

Present in this paradise.

Sweet summer haze.

Stormy Afternoon

She thought of these moments as solemn secrets kept by the raging storm, its howling winds perfectly disguising the cocoon she was hidden safely within.

The warm peace in the room heavily contrasted by the landscape at war with itself just outside the window. Two worlds existing in the same moment. The one out there, the one in here.

“So much like life…” she mused to herself, getting up to refill her cup, “only that usually works the other way around.”

She gave a rhythmic twirl to the sound of her favourite song, causing a disruption of music and candlelight around her, the tiny spaces between filling with her laughter.

This was the safest she felt to be herself, alone with her own thoughts which all seemed to drift into comforting perspective now. Her mind was never quite this clear, her spirit never quite this at ease.

Haiku – The Dreamer

One day at a time

Whoever you are…

Haiku – Adventure

Imagination

Sets him free on the ocean

The horizon calls

Haiku – Freedom

A flapping frenzy

Determined to meet the sky

With the wind, she soars
