The moon gazes down upon her

Observing her deep silence

Not seeing a thing beyond her

A soul in need of guidance.

She lifts her head and gazes back

Caressed by a stroke of pale light

“How did it all go so off track?”

She whispers out into the night.

“You’re right where you’re supposed to be,”

says the moon, “Do not doubt or fear,

Come any time and sit with me,

Take comfort, I am always here.”

Wrapped in the moon’s weightless embrace

She lets her worries drift away,

Calmly wipes the tears from her face,

And finds strength to face a new day.
