Haiku – A Page Turned

August Winds of Change,

Stirring possibilities.

A new door opens.

The Pond

The tale is yet to unfold

No stir beneath, not breeze above

The water’s glassy surface.

Morning secrets begin to rise as cold white whispers

In the silence of the breaking day,

Evaporating in the warm forgiveness of the golden sun.

Zanzibar

Worlds away from home

To meet the stranger within.

Seeking connection.

The heat engulfs her,

Sedating her anxious mind

Blissful lethargy.

Seen by the ocean

Her breathing finds it’s tides

Peaceful ebb and flow.

Whole in this moment.

Present in this paradise.

Sweet summer haze.

Haiku – Stormy Afternoons

Rain at the window

Feeding imagination

Like words on pages

Haiku – Turns

As tides rise and fall,

Surely as the seasons change,

Chapters of my life.

Haiku – A New Chapter

A journey begins

Sailing away from what’s known

On the Winds of Change.

A Heroine Reclaimed

She closed her eyes and surrendered at last to the sky as it gently wrapped midnight around her and delicately put her back among the stars.

Harbinger Dragonflies

Let’s dance beneath the night sky, love
As the stars dedicate us a tune
The universe is yours and mine, love
Let’s celebrate by the light of the moon

My future is mapped in your eyes, love
And I won’t be low when this night is through
For only when I greet the sunrise, love
Will I believe that this dream came true

(To Alexander and Sasha on their Wedding Day)

Haiku – Captured Moment

Streaks of golden life

Whispering down through the leaves

Kissing her soft skin
